Martin Petter

After completing his doctoral work in history at Oxford University, Martin Petter taught and held administrative positions at a number of Canadian postsecondary institutions. He retired as Vice President, Education at North Island College in 2009, and is now enjoying the opportunity to continue pursuing, along with other members of the Comox Valley community, his longstanding interest in lifelong learning. He believes literacy to be a critical issue for the economic and social wellbeing of Canadian society, and he is very happy to be part of creating a collaborative learning community in the Comox Valley.
